The chorus on WftC is unusual because each has its own set of lyrics. I was actually close to omitting the guitar on this track as well, but gritted my teeth, added a delay line and called it good. I work like that some times. I do like the drums and bass on this track, I think they have a good drive to them. Interestingly the scale used on this track allowed the guitar line to consist exclusively of sus4(7) chords. I was surprised that the scales I chose didn't force the use of sharp/flat 5 chords.

The lyrics have the distinction of being written out months in advance only to be discarded after the instrumental was finished. The final lyrics were in fact a thee fold merging of these original words with two of my old poems of the week: Overnight Train and Bumblebee World. The use of Russian bees to fight colony collapse disorder is of great interest to me, being something of a closet beekeeper. Trains vs. Planes is also very me. . .
